I’ve been waiting for this…Clio Manage now provides built-in automation features.
While still in beta, it allows you to automate three key activities:
✴️ Assign Task List Automation:
- Trigger tasks when matters enter specific stages
- Assign to responsible attorney OR responsible staff (new role!)
- Due dates automatically calculated based on your task list settings
✴️ Generate a Document Automation:
- Automatically generate templated documents when matters reach specific stages
- Merge fields are populated based on matter information
- Ideal for demand letters, client updates, and standard documents
✴️ Apply a Matter Template Automation:
- Automatically applies your predefined matter templates when converting from Clio Grow
- Sets up document folders, billing preferences, and more
- Ensures consistent matter setup without manual work
And this is just the beginning.
Clio is likely to expand this functionality further in future updates.
In the video down below, I walk you through the exciting new Automated Workflows feature recently released by Clio. Until now, law firms using Clio Manage had to rely on external automation platforms like Zapier or Make.com to automate their workflows, but that’s changing with this new native automation capability.
Important note: This feature is only available for Advanced and Complete tier Clio Manage users at this point in time.
